Message from President

Dear Members of the Institute of Control, Robotics, and Systems (ICROS),

Warm greetings to you all.
My name is Jun-Ho Oh, and it is my great honor to serve as President of ICROS for the year 2026. As we welcome the New Year, I sincerely wish you and your families good health, happiness, and continued success.

Now celebrating its 32nd anniversary, ICROS has grown into a leading academic society in the fields of control, robotics, and systems. Through active collaboration with major academic organizations both in Korea and abroad, we have continuously supported our members' research activities and contributed to academic advancement. In 2026, we will build upon this strong foundation and strive to further strengthen the role of our society. In particular, we will focus on expanding collaboration and academic exchange among members from academia, industry, and research institutes, while fostering closer connections and communication within our community.

Two major conferences are scheduled for 2026. The 41st Annual Conference of the Institute of Control, Robotics, and Systems (ICROS 2026) will be held from July 1 (Wednesday) to July 3 (Friday) at EXCO in Daegu. We look forward to lively discussions and active academic exchange through a wide range of sessions and research topics. In addition, the 26th International Conference on Control, Automation, and Systems (ICCAS 2026) will take place from October 27 (Tuesday) to October 30 (Friday) at the Emisia Hotel in Sapporo, Japan. As ICCAS will be held in Japan this year, we expect it to be a particularly meaningful event and a valuable opportunity to further expand collaboration with researchers from across Asia and around the world.

We will also continue our efforts to enhance the quality of ICROS's key publications, including the Journal of the Institute of Control, Robotics, and Systems (indexed in SCOPUS) and the International Journal of Control, Automation, and Systems (IJCAS) (indexed in SCIE). I kindly ask for your continued interest and the submission of outstanding research results as we strive to elevate these journals to an even higher international standard.

ICROS has grown and advanced together with its members. All of our achievements are made possible by your participation, dedication, and support, and this will remain unchanged in the years ahead. I sincerely ask for your continued encouragement and involvement in 2026, and I wish each of you a successful and rewarding year. Thank you very much.

Jun-Ho Oh
President of ICROS for 2026
